Astrologically speaking, solar eclipses reveal our shadow selves. The theme of this set was an exploration of the significance of such an event occurring exclusively in America. During a time of such disheartening drama and upheaval, it is with the idea that our collective shadow, dark side, is being brought out into the light with the purpose of seeing it, identifying it, so that we can then fix it. Before you can solve a problem, you first have to see the problem. According to astrology, eclipses mark major turning points and sever the past with the intent that we progress forward. In some ways, Donald Trump is accelerating our progress because we are so forced to respond to his extremes. His astrological alignments with this eclipse was fascinating. At the time it was performed, this set filled me with some hope. I hope it does the same for you. Thanks for listening!
